Modern Kiosk is a Firefox add-on designed to implement kiosk functionality for public browsing. This free extension aims to restrict user access to the operating system while allowing them to browse a specified URL in full-screen mode. Users can easily install the add-on, set their desired kiosk URL, and enter kiosk mode through the context menu or tab icon. The current version focuses on basic kiosk features, making it suitable for environments where controlled browsing is necessary.
While the add-on is still under active development, future updates promise to enhance its functionality. Planned features include domain whitelisting to restrict browsing to specific sites, closing all other windows except the active kiosk window, and setting up an exit key combination or optional password for added security.
